What’s new at N5 & Stories from the Studio
The Languedoc Tour at N5
In a week leading up to Christmas, Georgia opened her doors and brought the Languedoc Tour to N5 Studios.
It is a project she has been working on for over two years with Sopexa and Vignobles de Languedoc to promote the region and the extraordinary wines they are producing with an exhibition of photographs from the region.
Having taken the exhibition of images to Edinburgh and London in September and October aimed primarily at trade and press, she felt it important to share the stories — and the wines — amongst a wider audience.
It is not often that those not in the trade are given the opportunity to taste more than 40 different wines, and a wide ranging audience of enthusiasts attended, including journalists, actors, influencers, restaurateurs, and British winemakers amongst others.
It was a different side of wine tasting that Georgia wanted to share amongst a diverse audience — to tell the winemakers’ stories: who they are, why they are doing what they’re doing, and how they are going about it. What problems they are facing, and how they are solving them.
The result was a resounding success along with a very lively quiz that even had the wine journalists' attention and competitive spirit on edge!
We’re looking forward to hosting more Wine events at N5 Studios in the coming months — register below to be the first to hear about events as they’re announced!

What a phenomenal way to start a new year! Admittedly we had some nervousness about pitching and selling a class so early in the year when everyone was still coping with Christmas, but the feedback from our class of 10 was that they had invested wisely, with one saying “this is the most valuable thing I have ever done.”
So, what were we doing?
We were teaching practical skills from more than 50 combined years of industry experience.
We were giving people the experience of working in a real-life kitchen studio, with the same equipment, props and ingredients used by Jamie, Nigella, and Mary.
We were making everyone think differently about their own stories and how important they are in communicating visually.
We were challenging people to be unique and not to be overly influenced by others.
We were giving people the confidence to start their New Year with renewed energy and knowledge.
We were building a community of generous, positive, kind and like-minded people.
What is the actual course?
It’s a 2-day course based at the renowned N5 Studios in London.
It teaches you how to use your camera to get the best results for a brief that you might be given, or a brief that you might create for the story you want to tell. You’re given tips and tricks of the iPhone camera settings and how to use them to great effect. You are taught how to plate certain dishes specifically for the camera — a burger, a salad, and a drink. You are taught how to use props, and consider the full setup with lighting and format for the best end result.
Most importantly, you walk away with images for your folio and experience and knowledge to enable you to stand out from the crowd.
What did people say?
“I loved the ‘finding your story’ section. It was SO important and I had no idea how valuable that would be to me”
“A great balance of photography and styling”
“Way better than I expected, you have crammed so much in, but it’s all understandable”
“The group size is perfect, you managed to give us all time for individual attention”
“You both have such great energy and work so well together”
“Your honesty, wit and humour, generosity of knowledge and experience”
“Love the amount of practicals — I think they are really important and your balance of them was perfect”
